Touch Me #1 was an interesting novella about a girl who suddenly starts to crave other people’s touch. Thinking she’s going insane, she runs off from the night club and gets hit by a car that sends her off to the hospital in a bad, but not dire state. There she learns from a surprise visitor that what is happening to her is not normal and won’t stop from happening, but it’s not until later on that she realizes how dangerous her situation can get.
This novella reminded me a bit of a book series about banshees who could tell when a person was about to die. However,Touch Me #1 is more along the lines of telling about a person’s feelings and sucking energy out of them. It’s the first time I run across something like this and I liked it, though I can tell later on that it will turn into a more mature read so I agree that readers below 17 shouldn’t read without consent.
This novella ends with a cliffhanger, and while I understand that it was impossible to end the story on a good note, I was kind of hoping to get some closure. Still,Touch Me #1 was a good read and I may end up reading the rest of the series just to see where the author takes her story.
