#K8chat is a weekly chat for authors AND readers. Every week we join together to talk about a new book/publishing topic, usually with an awesome special guest and prizes! #k8chat is held every Thursday at 9pm Eastern. You can check out our previous chats log on the #K8chat page.
This week on #K8chat I (@K8Tilton) will be joined by special guest Shannon L. Brown (@shannonlbr). This week we are chatting about clean romances. Join in to chat about romance books with clean content!
About Shannon L. Brown:
I read and read as a kid, but didn’t plan to be a writer. One day in my twenties, I was reading a book and decided I wanted to write one of my own. That clean romance and a few more became practice for the future.
Years passed. As I was driving down an Interstate, the idea for a mystery for children popped into my mind and I wrote what became The Feather Chase, the first book in the Crime-Solving Cousins Mystery series for ages 8-12. I also began writing magazine articles on the side, gradually moving into doing that full-time. I’m now an award-winning journalist, have sold more than 600 articles for local, national and regional publications and, until I resigned to finish the mystery, was the contributing editor for a jewelry publication. (A surprising turn of events for someone who started out writing books.)
I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, so it makes sense that the next books would be about that state. Falling for Alaska is my first published romance and I’m excited to be working on the second and third books in the series. Jemma’s two sisters have stories of their own to tell.
I live in Nashville, Tennessee with my professor husband and our adorable calico cat Evie.
